How to Change from Marketing to Finance

My Bachelor's Degree was in Business Administration, took finance & accounting classes as part of the curriculum.

I have been in marketing for the last 7 years or so, and I recently realized I want to do finance (specifically venture capital & private equity). Which jobs in finance should I be going for that would value my transferable skills? Any advice for companies/industries to get my foot in the door? Located in Connecticut.
