How to Debate in an Interview
Had an interview the other day for IB, was asked how I would value a small business I had worked at on my resume (think high school/early college service job), so no great understanding of financials. I started my train of thought and he immediately cut me off and said I was wrong, listened to him and then tried re-explaining my thoughts just for him to cut me off again. Eventually he let me answer and we moved on. At first I thought he was just thinking I was wrong but now I'm wondering if it was more of a test to see how I react. Is there a proper way to handle this in an interview setting?
Maybe share your answer and his so we can see if you were objectively wrong or not?
