As you said, there are so many shops. These smaller shops don't typically post on employment sites; very few banks actually do.
Search in the WSO forums for the list regional boutiques. Then I would search for alum, see if they have any connection to these banks and give em a call/e-mail and personally ask about opportunities.
You can also give Doostang a shot -- some say it's effective.
