How to Lateral Up: Coverage with little/no M&A experience
At a non-top MM shop. I kinda feel sad since healthcare M&A is definitely not uncommon. However, my MD somehow doesn't like sourcing M&A deals since chance of closing is not as large as say an IPO which collects handsome fees. I have also touched some vanilla bond financing deals. They are really boring (not structuring anything, just plain terms, and fixed rates)
Getting promoted to Associate soon, at least that's what the MD told me. Been here slightly <2 years.
From a junior banker's PoV, this is not great for IB experience and/or growth.
How to lateral up ?
