How to negotiate a pre-planned holiday when switching Jobs.
Been in the market longer than I expected. Found a new role but I have a pre-planned event coming up in 3 months that I need to attend for a week. I know you're supposed to build goodwill with your new employer before asking for time off but this is simply not something I want to miss (it's a once in a lifetime kind of situation)
Has anyone ever had to handle a similar situation and firmly inform a new employer of a prior commitment? How should one approach this?
