How to Network after accepting FT offer

Accepted my FT offer in IB and am more than happy with it. However I'm hoping to get a job for next semester as I have one class and with COVID college is boring as hell during the week and I need the money bad.

There are a few AM/PE firms nearby that I want to reach out to but I don't want to network with them and have them talk to my firm and say that I am trying to bail on IB move to the buyside. Should I be direct in saying I have an IB offer and say I'm looking to learn more for next semester? Or would that show that I'm not keen for their type of job and why would they hire me then?
