How to network for lateral in trading?

Hi I’m a first year analyst trader on a FI desk at a major european bank (not BB). Im a high performer on the desk (according to performance feedback) but I want to change to a bigger bank, ideally BB. I know everyone says network network network, and I did it myself to get into the industry. However, how does one do it once I’m in the business ? I’ve added a lot of traders from many banks on LinkedIn but what’s the next step? Do you try to go out with them for coffee/ drink, talk shop, impress them and ask if there’s an opening? How is the networking done once in the business? Thanks for all the feedback in advance.
