How to transition from consulting to trading?
Hi all, hoping to get some advice on how to make a career transition from a post-MBA consultant role (MBB) to any trading or trading-related role where I would have a good chance to learn about markets and pick up good habits. I don't care about starting salary or title. I've applied to hedge funds and banks.
I have 2 years in consulting at an elite firm and law school at a top 5. I've been networking exhaustively through my work network, but most people I've met in financial firms are in strategy roles. I know very few traders and have been at this for over 6 months.
What would you guys do if you were in my shoes?
