I was just wondering about my internship interview chances

Hey everybody love the site but this is my first post here.

I am a looking to get an i-banking internship this summer and I'm just trying to handicap my chances at this point. I have a 3.57 as a Finance/Political Science double major at Notre Dame which I know is a little low. I do have some relevant work experience in the form of an internship at a Real Estate Finance Company last summer and am pretty involved in EC. The big curveball is that I am going abroad in the spring so I don't know how that affects my chances. I've already started my interview prep so I feel that if I can just get in the room with an interviewer I would have a pretty good shot of landing an offer. I would love to work at a BB firm but I would be more than happy at a middle market like a Lazard or Robert W. Baird.

Taco, I don't think those grades kill you at all. The biggest question mark is the study abroad. Can you talk to someone at your school's recruiting team to see how this is normally handled? I doubt you are the first person to encounter this issue.

Thanks that at least puts some of my mind at ease. Fortunately the people here in our Career Center are very knowledgeable. I have heard a little bit about recruiting superdays meant for study abroad students but I have yet to really look into the process for going that route.

Thanks again for your help.
