I Work on Baby Deals: Will It Hamper My Growth?

I'm at a non-NYC regional boutique (DC/Philly/Boston/Miami) and getting great transaction experience on M&A deals, specifically tech. Only thing is our average deal size is like $20-$100mm in Enterprise Value. Obviously over the years I can build up three good $100m+ deals for my resume but when it comes to Corp Dev, IB lateraling, Growth PE, etc. will my options be super limited? Is lateraling to a MM as an Associate doable?

From what I have seen from my friends and network at the boutique level. They typically have no problems lateraling to corp dev.  The ones that transfer banks typically go to the same level.   Out of the 5 cases of laterals I have seen from boutiques only one was upwards in title (ANA->ASO). and that was a niche group to same niche group.

Interned at a regional boutique and keep in touch with my old coworkers. A couple lateralled to MMs, one as an analyst and one the second they got their associate promotion. A couple others left to corp dev - both at companies that bought their clients (bank did sell side deals only).
