IB Full Time

I’m an intern in S&T, but I would like to do IB for full time. When should I start applying? I’ll be graduating in December. Thanks so much.

You should be networking from week ~3 of your internship (so, now) and decide if you want to try internal move or stick external. FT spots are rarely posted and mostly fill through networking - just applying will not get you anywhere. Be ready for superdays as soon as week 9-10 of your internship.

Internal superdays will be after your internship. Internal is kinda a hard line to walk because you have to network without your team seeing, and then get an offer and ask HR if you can interview for IBD. If you're at GS I wouldn't even bother with internal because your S&T offer will go away - other banks are better about this.
External superdays are as early as week 9, but typically bunched up the week right after your internship
Jan start won't be a problem for either, just tell HR before you accept your offer but everyone will accommodate that (IBD never says no to an extra pair of hands)
