If I'm you I would start by looking at reputable regional boutiques such as BGL, Stephens etc. Reach out to analysts/associates there with your resume attached. If the reception is warm then move up and look at MMs in tier 1 cities, if doesn't seem like they are interested try valuation advisory firms like big 4 transaction advisory or Duff and Phelps to a foot in the door.
