IB SA when you know you’re not going for the return offer

Hi guys I’m starting an IB SA at a BB in a few weeks. The thing is, I know now I’m not gonna take a return offer if I get one. Has anyone else been in a situation like this? I don’t want to coast or under perform this summer but I also don’t wanna push myself to the edge when I know this isn’t something I want to do long-term. if you’re wondering why I’m not going for a return, it’s because my career aspirations have changed since last June when I signed the offer.

Get a return offer. It will sound good to whoever you interview with next year that you can get a full time job offer at a solid firm. Don’t coast. Don’t ask for extra work either if you don’t want to kill yourself. Just do what you’re told. People generally don’t have too high expectations for interns anyways.
