IBD internship chances (Sorry for this)

I know you guys are probably sick of these forum posts about "chancing me" or "what are my chances for a BB internship". But I'm really curious about my chances for a BB IBD (hopefully M&A) internship next summer (im a rising junior)

Here's a general overview of me.

  • I go to a semi target (top 10 undergraduate business school)

  • My GPA is 3.2 (kinda of low)

  • I have 3 relevant finance internships all at reputable and big companies (one at commercial banking, PE and VC)

  • However my dad did use to work for a BB (S&T) so he knows a few MDs / EDs (they used to be his "mentees" or same team/ college) and he said they would be willing to help me out.

So... what are my chances?

If you're seriously asking this question and expect an accurate answer, the answer is 0. If you really don't have the common sense to understand how ridiculous this question is, getting through interviews will be a serious problem.

Really?

You are assuming that i know nothing about finance, I believe i can do well in interviews and confidently answer whatever financial questions they throw at me.

Oh I'm also fluent in English, Chinese and French

Not at all. Your finance knowledge has nothing to do with it. No one could possibly have any idea what the answer to your question is. Posting it shows a lack of common sense, which will come across in your answers. This is all I was referring to.

retarded question

you ask for estimation of another people, yet you got so many variables such as that your father worked at the BB SnT..

btw GPA doesnt really matter i mean, some people wont even look your application, but some others will so w/e.. just know what to say and how to sell yourself

I built a model to figure out your chances and its giving me a 22.78% chance at BBs and 45.3% at lesser known boutiques. PM me if you want me to send it to you so you can change some of the inputs and see the difference.
