ICAP RIsk Analyst

I am looking to get a better understanding of ICAP’s Graduate Trainee Risk Analyst program.

Here is what part of the job description says:

“The position will assist the Credit and Market Risk teams with regular exposure monitoring, maintenance of the trading counterparty database, monitoring of existing counterparties and on- going trade limit-setting in accordance with the firm’s risk management policies. The incumbent will also be expected to quickly respond to warning indicators and threshold breaches to provide management with up-to-the-minute snapshots of the firm’s current exposure to heightened environmental risks. “

Seems very interesting area. It would be great if someone who is familiar with this type of work can expand on what this job entails, how quantitative is it and what sort of skills one develops. Also, any positives/negatives will be insightful.

Lastly, what do I need to know to ace the interview? Any technicals?

Thanks!
