If not IB, then what?

Some people that post on this forum argue that there are plenty of jobs that pay pretty well but are not as demanding as IBanking (with respect to hours worked...etc). Can those of you who agree with this please tell me what these jobs are? I understand S&T might be a bit better since you're basically working market hours, but what other jobs are out there?

I just graduated with a degree in Eco/Fi, and I'm just trying to figure out what the best career track for me is. Unfortunately coming out of college (non-target and given the current market conditions) I was not able to land a solid front office job. I'm doing mid-office ops right now but am desperately applying to other jobs that are more fitting to my interests...and that are simply better.

"For that matter I don't know anything that gives me greater pleasure, or profit either, than talking or listening to philosophy. But when it comes to ordinary conversation, such as the stuff you talk about financiers and the money market, well, I find it pretty tiresome personally, and I feel sorry that my friends should think they're being very busy when they're really doing absolutely nothing. Of course, I know your idea of me; you think I'm just a poor unfortunate, and I shouldn't wonder if you're right. But then, I don't think that you're unfortunate- I know you are." - Apollodorus in Plato's Symposium (173c-d)

See? Even some dude 2000+ years ago figured it out.

Now, there were no jets that "money could buy" back then. So, if jets make you happy, you are in for a tough time if you can't get into banking...

Bankers can't afford private jets.

Really? why even get into banking then? How about a small plane? Could bankers get a small plane?
