From my understanding, graduate training programs are not front office.

You may want to do some more research before plunging into this, if you are indeed worried that it is MO or BO.

zerojb34I can talk to one of the analysts on the phone..What's a polite way of me asking if it is a front office position?

Ask if there is client interaction/who their clients are. If they support/work for other people within the firm, then it's BO/MO. If they're directly in contact with/working with external clients, hedge funds, investors, etc., then it's FO.
