I have a meeting upcoming with an analyst at a HF. I have a list of questions to ask him about his background etc. I'm not sure though if I should ask questions about his firm and their investments. I looked over the fund's portfolio, history of returns, their approach etc. Maybe some general questions? Like why take this approach or why have a heavier weight in x industry blah blah?
Once again this is an informational interview so I'm not sure if questions about the firm's investments would be appropriate for a first meeting?
