inquiring about a connect's former company
I've made a good connect with an associate at a bulge bracket bank through a family friend. As of now, I'm not best buddies (yet) with this associate, but I feel like he wants me to succeed in the investment banking interview process and eventually get hired as a summer intern and eventually full-time analyst at his firm. However, I know that he interned as a summer associate at another bulge bracket bank as a top-3 MBA student (HBS, Stan, Wharton).
Would it be okay to inquire at all about the application and interview process and also any connects he may have at this other bulge bracket bank he interned at as an MBA student?
