Insight days on LinkedIN and/or resume?

Is it worth it to put insight days/diversity events on your resume or LinkedIN?

As an underclassman, I don’t have much relevant experience and am not sure if putting diversity programs etc. on my resume would add or detract to my resume and LinkedIN.

Please do not put them on LinkedIn!! it’s so cringey and screams “desperation”this also applies to people who put Virtual VMP at HBS as education and work experience. they gave registration link to literally everyone who applied. it was not a selective process and doesn’t help. you can put it for a specific bank while applying but avoid as much as possible

In my opinion, it's very cringe to have it on your LinkedIn. But at the end of the day, it's your profile, so do you what you want.

We all know that all you do at insight days is show up, listen to a few corporate presentations about the business with a "guest" speaker who is just a VP or MD filling their "social impact" quota for the year. You might do a group exercise, or something along those lines. "Network" which is really just 15 finance hardos circling the most senior employee in the room.

The purpose of an insight day is for you to truly network after the day is up, and to make a note of everyone who showed up so you can do the real networking... (i.e. set up coffee catch-ups or informational calls so that you can name drop people on your application.

On your CV is fine, but please don't make it a massive chunk of experience. During my first few years of university, I had my insight days on one/two line(s). "Invited to selective insight days at X firms in X sectors of finance including MS, BAML, Citi."
