Internal Auditing vs IBD
Hi everyone. I am fairly new to the community, but I was hoping for some advice. I current am a junior in college and have a choice of places to go for the summer. I have internal auditing at a BB bank or IBD at a smaller boutique place. I was thinking about doing IBD but at the same time, would the brand name help for full time recruiting after my summer is over? I've looked around, but just wanted to ask in case anyone has any other insight. Thanks everyone!
If you want to do investment banking, take the investment banking job. That title will be much more beneficial for future recruiting than having a BB name with a back office function.
Have people who interned in audit moved over to IBD FT? Chances are it's not that likely. Take the IBD and make sure to network
