Internal Move Audit to Advisory
Hi everyone,
I am working at PwC in a European Country in audit department for about one year. From the beggining I was not excited for Audit department.
Now, one year later, I am still not excited but I see the good "elements" of the job but the company laucnhed a graduate program for advisory line of service which includes interview and an assesment day. I am thinking to apply for the job but I face two problems.
Firstly, there is not a clear policy of the company for internal transfers and Secondly I do not know what the consequenses would be if I get rejected for the job. Will be in doubt my job in audit? Will be the personal relations with my manager in doubt because of my apply?
I have "two plus one" questions for everyone who want to help me. 1) From what you know which are the most common policy for internal moves in big 4? 2) From what you know which would be the consequenses in case someone is rejected for the move? Plus One) Also any tip you consider as relevant would be helpful
Thank you very much in advance for any response I get.
Hi Michael Jefferson, any of these discussions helpful:
If those topics were completely useless, don't blame me, blame my programmers...
From my experiences such decisions to move internally around the company are seen as positive; shows you are committed to the company other than searching for employment elsewhere. The easiest thing to do is to contact HR department or talk to your seniors. I know plenty of people who moved between audit and advisory.
