Internship Etiquette | going for full time

Some background: just graduated 3 months ago, have been working at this internship for 2 months.

So this is something that has been on my mind for the past two weeks. I have about three weeks left of my internship period and while they have kind of talked to me about bringing me on full time, there has been nothing concrete or substantial to lead me to believe that I will be getting a full time offer (I'm a bit of a skeptic). I have other interviews coming up and I am not sure whether or not to lie to them about getting the time off or be up front with them saying I have to miss work to go in for an interview. They're aware that I want to a full time job, either here or somewhere else as soon as my internship finishes. Is it worse that I am looking for another job or that I missing work for a dumb reason?
