I am senior international student at a non-target with double major (Finance - Int. Business), fair GPA (3.77) and handful extracurricular activities.
I found extremely difficult to find a summer internship within investment banking, luckily I found a summer paid internship in the finance department of an international machinery company, I am using CPT for this summer gig.
After the internship, I will have completed my credits and will graduate. In August my OPT will kick in.
I still want to get into IB, however I believe it would be harder to find other internship opportunities after the summer is over. I suppose I miss my chance to get a summer financial analyst position.
I need any ideas of how to break into Investment banking, maybe internship programs other than during the summer.
Any advice or lead is welcome.
