Internship Recruiting Question

Hi guys. I'll be going to a target school this fall, but I just have a general question about internship recruiting for IB. I know it is a ways away, but what kind of experience is necessary for freshman summer internships? Based off of what I've heard, a freshman summer internship can be anything remotely finance/business related; it is more of a resume-padder than a valuable internship. My question is, what kind of experience is necessary for these internships? I plan on joining finance/business clubs at my school and being active on campus, but I don't have any prior internships/experience (I'm guessing it's rare but a few people do from HS). Is direct experience necessary, or is that first college internship free from any such requirements? Either way, I'll keep working my bussing job this summer, but just wanted to hear some thoughts on this. Thanks.

Also, I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong section. I'll move it if need be.
