Internships: which will get me furthest?

Hi,

I interned at a top corporate last summer. Right now, I am having a hard time choosing between my internship opportunities, esp. two of them.

Op. #1 is consulting (MBB), offering to work on a PE engagement (due diligence, probably), in London/Brussels/Paris.

Op. #2 is fixed income trading at a BB in London.

2 offers the prospect of short-term big bucks as a trader. #1 might offer more interesting long term opportunities.

Say that I am a typical, ambitious undergraduate and want to make it into PE or HF. What should I choose, and why?

Many thanks!

Depends what your looking for...#2 The money may be better but I think you need to really think about your long term goals. #2 fixed income maybe a bit more exciting as well, however...if you want PE I would take door number #1 (Regardless the international exposure will be great which ever you choose.) Good Luck!
