Interview ...ask or not ask about a recent different opening
Guys,
I have phone interview with HR on a top 5 IB.
Can I ask the HR about a different position that I have recently applied since I am more interested or...I should not even mention it since I may lose both opportunities??
PS: If it was a recruiter from an agency I would definitely ask....but since its the HR of the IB I am not sure because they are calling for one specific position.
This is just me, but I would advise against it. Depending on the position you're more interested in, there's a high chance that that position is handled by a completly different HR person, which complicates things even more.
HR contacted you about that one specific position because they see you as a potential fit. Asking them about a different position that you applied, and I'm guessing, was not contacted for, might cause you to lose the opportunity that you were actually contacted for.
