Interview on Friday on impromptu basis or wait until next week?

I have an in-office interview for ER. This should be the final step in the process. I have the option to interview this upcoming Friday and the Managing Director will set aside some time to meet with me briefly. However, I would only have 1 day to prep due to my other time commitments.

Or I have the option to let HR arrange everything for next week, but this will be a more complete and lengthier interview. I feel that I would have more time to prep, but at the same time, the interviews might be more difficult.

Which option would you choose?
