Interview results

Hey All,

Attended an interview couple weeks ago and felt that the interview went very well. The status for the position on the website still shows interview in progress and as a result of following up with the HR they mentioned that they will circle back soon with an update. This is for a global IB.

Can someone please let me know what happens in the background and why it would take a long time to respond. Appreciate your response.

Thank you

Unfortunately, our guess is as good as your guess. None of us will know your situation. Interviewing can take time for multiple reasons but it is never as fast as we want. Sometimes, the answer on why you haven't heard back is as simple as the team hasn't been able to discuss next steps in the process and who they want to move forward. Other times, you are in a holding pattern as the team wants to keep meeting more people before committing to moving a set of people further. And other times, companies don't actually let you know they've moved the process forward without you. Your application online may get updated, it may not. Someone in the system needs to be pushing it forward in the background. It sounds like its been a few weeks for you since you've spoken to HR last and it would be 100% okay to follow up again.
