I’m going to be travelling for a couple of months and I just received notice of moving into the next rounds of the interview process for an internship.
Would it be frowned upon if I did these virtually while abroad?

Just don’t tell them your traveling. I’d just shell out some money for a hotel room if you can afford it while you are interviewing—if your serious about the company
I’m very serious about them, that’s the thing. I might also have to rent a suit as I’ll be backpacking and won’t be bringing a blazer/nice shirt/tie.

Not a problem as long as your background/attire looks fine and you make a reasonable time slot. Don't tell them (if they say where are you? as small talk... say I live in X city)
