Investment Banking Operations Internship this summer

Hi everyone! After attending 3 super days for IB and getting rejected, I choose back office for my internship in New York this summer. It's IB operations...thought this would be best for me because I at least get some exposure to IB at a pretty reputable bank. I know that no front office guys will really want to network with me but my plan is to try to connect and learn from them by offering my services on any small tasks. My hours are 40 a week so I would have a lot of free time afterwards to learn from them and hopefully add some value. I still am interested in operations but I don't see many exit opps (if someone can enlighten me) and the tasks seem rather easy. If anyone could voice their thoughts, concerns, or advice to me on all of this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
