Is an exchange semester at a target worth anything?

Have the opportunity to do a semester (4-5 months) of my penultimate year in university at UC Berkeley in the US.

Currently at a non-target in UK, done spring week at HF (non-convertible), finance Summer internship at F100 company and consulting Summer internship at B4.

Want to get into trading when I graduate in 2025.

Significant cost involved in doing this exchange semester, so wondering how much of a benefit it would be to me in the eyes of recruiters? I’d likely major in stats.

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum, first time using WSO.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I think an exchange semesters looks good as a "brand" online or on your CV, until people realize it was just that - an exchange. You don't graduate from that school.
The same offer was made when I was at college and I denied the offer. Mainly due to costs/flights/time and I didn't believe it would have helped that much.

From a cultural point of view, this is good. You meet different people, learn a new culture, ..
Also an opportunity to get to know a school if, in the far future, you'd want to add another degree from that school.
