Is it possible to have an IB career in the SF Bay Area?

Wondering if there’s an IB scene in Silicon Valley.

Could one go get a UC Berkeley MBA and then pivot into IB in the SF Bay Area? Are there exit opps also in that area as well?

We hear a lot about programmers so I am curious about the finance side of Silicon Valley.

If anyone knows any anecdotes about people that have done this, would be happy to hear them. Thanks!

Yes almost every BB or EB has a tech, media, and telecoms office in SF. Good number of tech PE firms in the area as well.

Haas MBA to summer IB associate and then full time associate is a well traveled path. Would recommend applying to M7 MBA as well as those are the best for IB placement, but Haas should be just fine if you've been on the west coast your whole career and want to stay.
