Is it worth to do an internship summer before undergrad?

Hello all,

Hope everyone's week is going well and excited for Thanksgiving coming up. I wanted to know if it is worth it to do a finance internship the summer before going to college. Will it affect my chances of getting an internship Freshman year summer (summer after freshman year of undergrad), or will they not care that I did a finance internship during my high-school years?

For context, I have been pre-med my entire life, but I realized I'm geared more towards finance. I have a competitive bio application (Bio related research, internships, ecs, etc), so I am applying as that and will switch once I am inside the school. As a result, I will have no prior finance experience going into the application rounds for the Freshman year of undergrad summer. Is it worth my time or should I just enjoy my summer?

Any responses would be greatly appreciated!
