Is joining the military my best shot at getting into IB?

Graduated college with a below average gpa with a liberal arts degree ( sub 2.5 ) due to some personal issues + laziness + just not taking it seriously. Also, I've been working a job ( property management ) that I am just not that into anymore and want a life change.

I have always been interested in banking because you could make great money after grinding for awhile and I find the deals to be very interesting. I know what I would be getting myself into.

After browsing a few of the forums and discussions I have seen that some candidates have had success breaking into the industry through doing a stint in the military and following that up with an MBA. Does anyone know of a good job in the military that would look good on a resume or do most banks not really give a shit what you did in the armed forces..? If I did join, I was thinking of doing a 75th Ranger contract but I also think that it doesn't really transition well into finance like an Intel or a technical job would. I would get out and I'd be around 31 or 32 so Id be on the older side.
