Is there any designation worth going for in corporate development/ strategy?

From looking at various threads, it seems like the consensus is...don't bother.

I have been considering the CMA or CPA, simply because many of the teams directly support the CFO, who often times have some sort of designation.

Also, I don't have MBA in my future plans, but if a company is willing to sponsor it, then that seems like a no brainer.

Thoughts?
