Job Placement Organizations

Question: Are there any organizations out there that specialize in job placements for minorities or something similar to that of SEO. I'm in my senior year and unfortunately SEO only offers internship opportunities. I have a great resume w/ three relevant internship experiences and a 3.6 GPA. I come from hispanic descent but was born in the US. Suggestions/ comments appreciated. Thank You.

You don't want to be in SEO. I despise this organization for a reason. I met with a representative awhile ago and learned that the whole thing is a publicity stunt so banks can show they hire minorities. There are hiring communications and english majors that got into SEO simply for being minorities. Don't use race as a way of getting in because if you do, your future will be capped. A 3.6 is decent and if you truly have a good resume, race should play no role in getting hired.

I agree with tedwahlberg, don't use your race as a crutch, because their are many, many talented people of your race that are in banking or want to go into banking. I think you should try the following in order:

1) Networking/cold emailing 2) talking with friend/family 3) Go to your college's career center 4) Professors you were tight with 5) websites

Honestly, your best chance at getting a job is going to rely on a combination of all 5 of those things. Good luck!
