Jobs in different departments

I'm sorry if there is a sticky somewhere about this already but I am extremely confused as to what I want to get into as far as Finance goes. I did a little research and I am really confused what kind of specific jobs there are available for someone with a MSF degree (Will be getting one, but need to know which direction I want to into). I know there is Investment Banking (IB), PE (Private Equity), AM (Asset Management?), VC, and Hedge Funds..oh and S&T (Selling and Trading). Could anyone either point me in the right direction or explain what specific jobs make up these directions? For example, what kind of jobs exist in IB (Entry level and associate positions).

I know this is quite the request but I would really appreciate some insight into this. I have no idea what I would excel the most at or what I would be passionate about :(
