JPM Corporate Banking
Hi Friends. I was wondering if anyone could provide some information on JP Morgan Corporate Banking. I recently applied for a SA position, but wanted to hear some more feedback on this sector. It seems like it is basically a JPM's MM IB, but please correct me if I am wrong. Also, was wondering what the hours, pay, and exit opps would be after an analyst stint there. Thanks in advance.
It's not MM IB it's commercial banking i.e. commercial lending. For JPM Corporate Client Banking = commercial banking for big clients (>500m revs typically) and their Commercial Banking division is typically for 500m rev clients. Not comparable to IB in terms of work, pay, hours, lifestyle, exit ops, etc.
This group works heavily with Debt Capital Markets. It is comparable to IB in that you will have a lot of exposure to the capital markets. Especially Syndicated Loans and High Yield Bonds.
