Junior Year Recruiting Help

Hey Guys,

I am posting for advice and tips on how to approach Recruiting for my Junior Year internship.

I just completed my sophomore year at a top undergrad B school. However, I tremendously fucked my grades. I have a sub 3, and I know this is gonna screw me in terms of recruiting. However, I see posts here of people pulling nice gigs with such grades. This gives me some hope that its not completely impossible.

In terms of experience, I'm doing a training program with a trading firm, working at a startup, and doing some LBO stuff later on. I am committed to fixing my gpa for the rest of my college career. There's no excuse for fucking up, just associating with the wrong people.

I'm wondering how to go about networking with this type of background. Is it all just reaching out to alumni and networking? Is it possible to get a place at a BB(IB/AM/Trading) or are they basically out of reach? If so, what are my options? I'm really committed to get my shit in order and doing well in school junior year and fix up my grades, and I know there's gonna be people here saying I don't deserve a sweet gig at a BB cause I slacked...but doesn't hurt to try. It's gonna be an uphill battle trying to climb Mount Everest on a wheelchair; how do I go about it? Just looking for help and tips.

Thank you.
