Not Queens for sure. More along the lines of Schulich, Waterloo, McGill.

Anyways, to answer your question, you don't really choose industry/product gourps going into interview. After you get an offer, they will have a sell day which bankers pitch their group to you. How you perform in the interview will and how you spin your stories will have a bigger impact on what group you get (it varies by bank and school as well)

Yea your probably competitive, but get the offer before you worry about where you will end up. At some banks you get no choice, others you will be asked in the interview where you are interested in, and some you will get some choice (rare). Also in canada especially, the big 5 don't take SAs in all of their groups. They make only take kids in M&A and Naturals.
