I had interview three weeks back. they said i am the top contender in the interview. also they want to interview one more person. I sent a follow up email today. i received the reply saying "We continue to be interested in your candidacy and will have more information for you in the next 2-3 weeks".... is this a positive/negative sign? I am not able to understand the real meaning of the statement. Please can anyone help me?

I think that just means they are also interviewing at least one other person who may be earlier in the process than you (I'm assuming you had more than one interview/have met with more than one person at this point). Firms often want a basis of comparison for who else is out there for the position, even if one guy/girl fits the bill.

So, in the meantime, just make sure to check in with them 2 weeks from now, so they know you're interested in the job.

Thank you Kanon....

I had interview with Partner, MD, Two Directors and Two managers. I felt my interview went well. They told me to wait for 3 to 4 weeks initially. I waited and sent reply today. Now i am told to wait for 2-3 weeks. now am bit anxious....hope to see favorable results.
