Landing a Summer in London. Luck?
Hey there. So I wanted to know my chances of landing a Summer Internship in London in an EB/BB. I believe I have a good profile but from what I hear a good component of the recruitment in London is luck, so I am not super duper confident. Here are some of my stats:
- Graduated in Italy Summa Cum Laude. Spotless GPA
- Currently Master in Finance student at Target (HEC, LSE, LBS..)
- 2 internships in M&A. One in a boutique, one in Big 4.
- Founder of the biggest finance (M&A) association at my uni
- Founder of of profitable startup with good revenue
What do you think? My biggest concern is that I have no EB/BBs on my CV and it worries me, considering what you see in past cycles for people who got in.

If yes, 70% I think considering the amount of females applying vs males

It's factual, just based on applicants from both sex. No hate at all there.
From experience, SA in London appears to be pretty heavily luck-based.
its luck. i know straight white males with NO IB experience who got in. and definetely not a nepo as he came froma state UG
Luck is a huge component. You may get screened for GS and dinged for UBS and BNPP. Then sure it’s how you perform during interviews but the first round invitation is super random
