Lateral Cold Email
Extremely low response rate (~1%). Is it a bad time right now for coffees? I've had my email/resume vetted so I know there's nothing wrong in that aspect.

Updating. Cold email responses are near dead
Not the best time given all the intern coffee chatting, but not a bad time either because it’s not SA recruiting season.
You mentioned you had your email vetted, so the problem might be that theyre not personalized enough.
With cold emails, you have to show them a strong reason to get on the phone/meet for coffee since there’s nothing actionable an A&A can do unless there’s already an open spot.

I try personalizing it (if they did any career transitions, firm transitions/group jumps, I make sure to probe on that) - but find it a bit tough to personalize for a lot of bankers who have cookie cutter profiles (undergrad to IB -> A2A). What things do you include/look for for a more personalized email?
