How much of a factor is your undergrad performance when trying to move to a larger bank as a lateral hire? I didn't have the best gpa coming out of school and am hoping to jump ship after about a year, can having a lot of deal experience make up for this?

I agree with boutiquebank4life, your deal experience could outweigh your lack of undergrad accomplishment. That said, poor undergrad performance is likely to hurt you for many years to come.
