Lateraling to BB in Canada

Hi everyone,

Quick post - I'm curious if anyone on here has any experience lateraling into a BB from another IB in Canada and how hard it is?

I've learned that for recruiting into higher finance roles, particularly in the US, one's best bet is to be in a BB in Canada at a minimum, as they are more respected by recuiters in the US (despite Big 5 being respectable and very competetive in Canada). Is lateralling easy/difficult/any nuances compared to lateralling in the US? Fewer openings for laterals?

Thanks
