London Audit -> US Audit -> FDD/Valuations/Investor Relations

Hi Everyone,

Currently an audit assistant manager in London at a non-Big 4 firm (albeit with 3 years of Big 4 experience). I have attempted to lateral into a role in a more value-adding function i.e. FDD/Valuations/IR for a year now without success here in London. In your experience, would this process be easier if I were to migrate to the US within audit and then begin the networking process after a year or so to try to make the move over there where the job market is more dynamic/liquid/etc.? Has anyone attempted to make such a move before?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
