Looking for job with non-ideal background

Hi guys thanks for all the great stuff I'm finding on WSO, I've been learning a ton.

I got on actually because I just got rejected from the last medical school that I applied to this year, and I'm seriously considering pivoting my career option elsewhere. I'm one year out from a really good target school, 3.6 GPA in biochemistry. I fully committed myself to being premed starting late sophomore year, so my resume shows some business/finance acumen and interest (classes and extracurriculars). Even though I'm a biochem major, the five years of research that I've done have been mathematically heavy, involving all kinds of statistical modeling.

I've been interested in finance for a long time - I was premed mostly due to external pressures, hence my interest.

Question: what's the next move? There are lots of options out there, and I'm looking for a dispassionate appraisal of my pros and cons and how to play this hand.
