Looking to make the move from Boston to London

I have been recently looking for jobs in London and was curious if anyone on here has made the move from the U.S. over to London. I currently work on a runoff portfolio doing a mix of ongoing portfolio management and workout. The portfolio should be winding down fully by mid next year and now feels like a good time to get some expat experience. Unfortunately, my current shop does not have an international presence so I am looking for jobs elsewhere. I used to work for Santander and have been trying to get into a role there through some old connects but i havent had much luck.

Does anyone have any suggestions on recruiting firms i should look into or banks that might be willing to hire expats? One thing I've heard is that I should put down a London address and explain the situation to the recruiter. Not sure if thats the best idea.

I should add i don't require a Visa which would normally be a huge barrier.
