Masters Question - Summer Internship Recruiting
Am currently at a non-target Russel Group and will be recruiting for summers this year.
I plan on doing a masters at a target/semi-target, but as MSc applications have not opened, I can only say "intending to complete a masters" on my CV - which does not sound great.
Could I get away with putting down a masters offer on my CV from a semi-target now, and if my choices change just tell HR that I received a better offer later down the line.
Has anyone done something similar in the past?
No. This is extremely high risk if you end up getting an offer from the internship but not the masters through some accident. You'll fail background checking very easily.
Put intended masters. But I don't think you're gonna get credit for it tbh.
Next year, when you have an offer, you can recruit for summers again as a final year - many firms allow this
Thanks for the response!
Think I am just going to put 'integrated masters' on my CV for now, as this pushes back my graduation date & is definitely possible.
Then, if I receive a better offer from another university I can update HR.
Does this make sense?
